Goals of the course include:
To assist attendees in achieving the entry-level portions of the DOT/NHTSA 2002 Guidelines for Educating the EMS Instructor (To attain this goal students are required to complete selected readings on the NAEMSE website prior to attending the actual course.) To provide tools and resources to attendees who want to teach to the best of their potential. To provide foundational information on the teaching process. To provide opportunities for networking and interpersonal growth.

Full-Time Instructor/Department Chair EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: SMCC is seeking a full-time faculty to serve as department chair and faculty of the Emergency Medical Services department, including the Paramedicine and Emergency Services programs. Candidate must be willing to assume a principal role in program and curriculum development. Responsibilities include teaching four courses per semester, advising students, developing and modifying curricula, participating in department/college committees and activities, and other professional duties related to the position. Appointments begin at the Instructor level.
