Critical Thinking & Item Writing Workshop
Thursday, September 15th - 6-10PM
Presented by Elsevier
This hands-on workshop, conducted by an experienced EMS item writer facilitator, teaches EMS instructors how to develop test items that promote critical thinking.  This course will help you: Write critical thinking test items, Develop test items using alternate formats, Use housekeeping tips to design a writing-style protocol and Tweak test items to make them into critical thinking items.

Simulation in Education for EMS
Thursday, September 15th - 8AM-5PM

Become part of the Simulation User Network and join us for an information-packed day at The Peppermill Resort in Reno, Nevada! This full day session is designed for EMS Educators whose experience with simulation ranges from beginner to advanced. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of using simulation as a learning and teaching method through role-playing in live simulation exercises, open forum discussions and hands-on time with some of the latest patient simulation technology.

The NAEMSE publications committee is seeking articles for upcoming issues of Educator Update. Upcoming themes include: Leadership in EMS Education, Governance in EMS Education, Professional Development and Academics & Doctoral Dissertation.
