NAEMSERenew
SYMPOSIUM KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Friday, September 16
- 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Randolph Mantooth - EMS: The Pioneers

Randolph Mantooth, who portrayed Firefighter/Paramedic Johnny Gage on the 1970s TV series EMERGENCY!, will be this year’s Keynote Speaker. Although EMERGENCY! ended its original run more than thirty years ago, Randy has remained loyal to those who serve the public in the emergency response professions. His presentation provides a unique perspective on the development of ALS systems during the 1960s and 1970s, and takes a behind the scenes look at a television show that helped change the face of emergency medicine forever. Randolph Mantooth is a professional actor, producer, and screenwriter. His starring role as Los Angeles County Firefighter/Paramedic John Gage in the 1972-1979 television series “EMERGENCY!” helped propel the concept of fire-based paramedics into nationwide awareness. Randy has been a popular speaker at Fire and EMS Conferences since 1986, providing a unique and inspiring look at the history of modern emergency medical services in the United States. Finish Your B.S. in Fire and Emergency Services Admin.

A Bachelor's Degree that Leads to Opportunity

In today’s tight job market a bachelor's degree can put you a step ahead of the competition. Finish yours online in Fire and Emergency Services Administration, and step into new career opportunities. The Spring semester application deadline is November 1, 2011.

"I have used this degree to gain employment with the Denver Fire Department as a fireman. When the department began hiring, they had roughly 4,500 applicants, and hired just 24 of those. Not only was I fortunate enough to be one of them, but I was ranked among the top. My dreams are coming true right before my eyes (with one of the best fire departments in the country no less!) and I truly believe that this would not have been possible without everything the [CSU OnlinePlus] FESA program did for me."
-Sean M. Toomey, Recent CSU OnlinePlus Graduate
