EMS Subspecialty Board Review Online Course

Background: The ABEM EMS Subspecialty Certification Examination development is underway with the first EMS Subspecialty Board Examination anticipated to be offered in the fall 2013. It is estimated that over 1,000 EMS Physicians will be eligible to sit for this first examination. In order to best assist its members in preparing for this written exam, the NAEMSP® Board of Directors is looking for an individual to lead the development of an EMS Subspecialty Board Review Online Course.

Job Requirements:
• NAEMSP® member preferred • Publication and/or editorial experience desired
Role: To lead a team of content experts in distilling the essential elements of the NAEMSP® textbook- Emergency Medical Services: Clinical Practice and Systems Oversight and other EMS references that address the ACGME Core Content for EMS Physicians. Coordination and accountability of all aspects of the content deliverables will be required.

Expected Outcome: An annotated brief topic summary and review guide to be used by EMS physicians in preparation for the written ABEM Subspecialty Board Examination. The board review content must be selected and written for online distribution. The formatting and actual distribution of the content is not expected.
Compensation: Stipend -- $4,750 plus travel expenses

Timeline:
Start: As soon as possible - Interim Reports: Interim progress reports will be delivered to the board executive committee on their regularly scheduled bimonthly conference calls.
Completion: Content delivered December 1, 2012
