Training & Education Manager-Grady Healthcare System
Atlanta, GA
Essential job functions:
Development and implementation of EMS hospital-based EMT and Paramedic licensure programs. Responsible for managing the instructional process and associated curriculum review and design. Creates lesson plans and develops required courses, continuing education and quality assurance program. Integrates training with all EMS divisions to include Operations, Communications and Fleet Maintenance. Creates and manages financial operating model approved by division Vice President. Provides long range planning and ongoing development of programs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science, EMS or other Health-related science required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years field experience in pre-hospital emergency care and 2 years of EMS teaching experience at the college-technical level required.
- NREMT-P preferred.
- Ga. Paramedic licensure or ability to acquire within 6 months of employment and Ga. Level 3 Instructor or NAEMSE Instructor Course required.
- AHA BLS/ACLS, PHTLS or ITLS, PALS, PEPP or EPC at the instructor level preferred.
- Critical Care Paramedic or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
- Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- MS Office proficiency required.
- Valid driver’s license required and motor vehicle record must meet departmental standards.
