NAEMSE proudly presents the EMS Instructor Course, which has been designed and developed by the same individuals who produced the DOT/NHTSA 2002 National Guidelines for Educating EMS Instructors. The NAEMSE Instructor Course represents the didactic component and practical application of the beginning education process to become an EMS instructor. The content of this course aligns the NAEMSE developed modules with the curriculum objectives of the 2002 National Guidelines, and has been designed to provide a basic introduction of concepts for the beginning EMS educator. This particular course is held in partnership with the TX DOT EMS Education

NAEMSE, in partnership with CoAEMSP, is presenting their accreditation Workshop in Philadelphia, PA June 25-26.
This workshop is conducted by experienced faculty representing both NAEMSE and CoAEMSP.  The workshop will include:

Accreditation Overview

  • Discuss the concept of accreditation (institutional vs. programmatic, non- governmental, etc.
  • Discuss the cost, resources and steps for accreditation

Self Study How-To

  • Overview of sections of document and review of contents of study
  • Develop your self study (hands on with participants)

Site Visit

  • Discuss the site visit process
  • List tasks to be done to prepare for the site visit.
  • Identify your role during the site visit
  • Identify the exit interview and the unofficial report you will be left with
  • Discuss program response to the site visit
  • Discuss how the program responds to Progress report if need be

Preparation of Annual Reports

  • Describe the purpose and method of the annual report
