ASSISTANT TRAINING COORDINATOR Southern Region EMS Council, Inc. (SREMSC), in Anchorage, Alaska is seeking an Assistant Training Coordinator. This position is responsible for developing EMS educational resources, delivering EMS training, serving as AHA Training Center Faculty, serving as a Certifying Officer at State EMS exams, and working with a variety of EMS agencies and providers within the Southern Region of Alaska. REQUIREMENTS: Credentials: Applicants must be a paramedic, nurse or mid-level provider with a current Alaska license or have one of these licenses from another State and be eligible for licensure within Alaska. Must obtain the Alaska credential within one year of hire. Current AHA instructor Experience: Three years of prehospital experience and teaching EMS and continuing education classes. Instructor/Program Director – Paramedic Training Program Tri-State Institute in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a full-time Instructor/Director to manage our new EMT/Paramedic program. Requirements: - National Registry certification as an EMT-P.
- A minimum of five (5) years experience in clinical practice and two (2) years experience as an instructor in an approved ALS training program. Prior management/supervisory experience in an ALS training program preferred.
- Proficiency in curriculum design, program administration, evaluation, instruction and counseling.
- Knowledge of current State of Alabama EMS Board accreditation procedures is preferred.
- Develop, implement, integrate, and evaluate the curriculum of the Paramedic program in accordance with the school’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values and in compliance with the EMS Board’s accreditation standards.

The Paramedic Program is a progressive, state-of-the-art, high-performance, joint venture between Hudson County Community College and the Jersey City Medical Center, a member of LibertyHealth, an integrated healthcare delivery system serving Hudson County. Our new state-of-art 367 bed medical center is a teaching affiliate of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. The Medical Center is a regional Level 2 Trauma Center. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Insures that all paramedic students are trained in compliance with State regulations, the National Standard Curriculum and established departmental policy. Conducts the campaign in the recruitment, interviewing, processing and selection of paramedic students. Teaches for LibertyHealth's EMT programs. Instruct for CPR/ACLS/PALS/PHTLS courses as the need arises, both onsite and offsite. New Jersey Dept of Health faculty member and member of the subcommittee for paramedic program coordinators.
REQUIREMENTS:
Master's Degree preferred; possess and maintain current NJSDOH MICP/MICN certification; NREMT-P preferred; PHTLS or ITLS certification; prior training in Hazmat, ICS; possess instructorship in the following areas: CPR/ACLS/PALS/PHTLS/EMT; valid driver's license; minimum 5 years experience in EMS with at least 3 at the advanced life support level; minimum 2 years prior clinical supervisory experience relative to EMS; thorough knowledge of the NJAC 8:40 and 8:41 as they relate to this position; thorough knowledge of the theories, objectives, principles and techniques of basic and advance prehospital emergency care; and computer literate.
