EMS License Plate Project

Thank you for offering your support at the recent NAEMSE Instructor course for the California Emergency Medicine License Plate. It will take all of us working together to make this happen.

What is the project?

Mission:
The Riverside Community College EMS Academy students wish to gain the support of students and faculty across California to honor the men and women of Emergency Medicine in both the field and hospital setting.

Vision:
A state license plate with the affixed seal and emblem representing:

  • EMTs

  • Paramedics

  • Nurses

  • Doctors

  • Allied Health Professionals

Values:
Competence
Compassion
Character

What is the problem?

Due to an injunction placed on special project license plates by the State of California DMV, we are asking for your support.

What can I do?

What you can do is contact your local assemblyperson or legislator to gain support for the Emergency Medicine license plate.  Once the State and the DMV establish new guidelines for making special project license plates, it must be voted on by legislation.  Your contact with your local representatives is crucial at this point so that it will pass as a bill through legislation.

The other key factor is for this project is to have 7,500 prepaid applications to cover the production cost for the DMV to begin the plates.  The approximate cost is $50.00 per application.

Which legislators have pledged their support?

Assemblyman Russ Bogh
Assemblyman John Benoit
Congresswoman Mary Bono

Your support is appreciated.  If you would like a poster of the license plate or if you have any questions or comments, please contact:
