The Center for Prehospital Medicine, Carolinas Healthcare System, invites innovative, enthusiastic, and team-oriented applicants for the position of Clinical Instructor. This full time position is an opportunity to utilize your evaluation, instruction, and curriculum design skills to develop educational support strategies for the Center. Responsibilities include planning and teaching basic/advanced skills sessions. The successful applicant will provide ongoing didactic and skills instruction for our EMT-B and EMT-P classes.

Qualified candidates must possess an Associate's degree or equivalent education and training in a nursing or allied health specialty. Bachelor's degree preferred with North Carolina RN license and PHTLS/BLTS certifications. Applicants are required to have five years of experience in a clinical field with North Carolina or National Registry Paramedic certification and ACLS, PALS, BCLS certifications. Applicants must also have experience with instructional design, curriculum development, classroom teaching, outcomes measurement and group facilitation. Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology as well as understanding of regional, state and national rules governing all levels of EMT performance required. Must achieve ancillary instructor certifications in BCLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS/BLTS within two years of employment.

CLINICAL MANAGER

Under the direction of the Chief Clinical Officer, this position is responsible for assisting in the development and advancement of the quality of practice through the provision of patient care, consultation, collaboration, education and research.  This position requires the personal skills to be an effective leader and the ability to inspire individuals by communicating needed changes, motivating individuals to become active participating members of a team and encouraging self development through a leadership example approach. The incumbent will work collaboratively with the Chief Clinical Officer, Medical Director and Command Staff to ensure that the educational and clinical goals of the organization are achieved.  In addition, the Clinical Manager will foster exemplary clinical practices among the field personnel and serve as a role model for staff in achievement and maintenance of clinical skills. Incumbent should be a National Registered Paramedic/Certified Virginia Paramedic. AA/AS or equivalent industry experience required and supervisory experience preferred.  This position is open until filled.

EMS Education Manager
The Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS) is seeking an EMS Education Manager.  This position is responsible for developing EMS educational resources and certification/licensing examinations; administrating the EMS education program approval process; assisting with certification processing and education data analysis. 
REQUIREMENTS: 
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
Experience: Four years of experience developing, implementing and conducting training and testing for the certification of providers of emergency medical services.
Note: Additional experience as a certified emergency medical services provider, certified EMS instructor or EMS test evaluator may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be able to obtain Maryland Paramedic license (NREMT-P required);
• Must be able to obtain instructor certification as an MICRB instructor within one year of hire;
• Two years demonstrated experience in curriculum, program, and test development and/or project management experience;
• Two years experience analyzing data using Microsoft Access and Excel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree;
• Public speaking experience;

FACULTY – EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (Tenure Track)
Illinois Central College is seeking a qualified individual to provide instruction in the Associate Degree Emergency Medical Technician program.  The successful candidate will be required to assist in the development, evaluation, and teaching of program curriculum; coordinate and supervise student clinical instruction; and advise program students.  Program curriculum includes EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate, EMT-Paramedic, Basic Life Support (CPR), First Aid, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Trauma Life Support/Prehospital Trauma Life Support, and Pediatric Education for Prehospital Providers.  Initial screening begins immediately.

Position:                             Education Program Coordinator

Organization:                     REMSA

Description:                       Experienced public speaker and educator preferred with past responsibilities including coordination of educational programs.  Responsible for coordination of two annual paramedic programs including didactic, clinical, and field internship phases.  This includes development of the schedule, student selection, instructor scheduling and oversight as well as working with outside agencies to facilitate student internships. 
                                            
Requirements:                   Paramedic or EMS RN with a minimum of 2 years of experience in an urban EMS system.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Must be able to obtain State of Nevada paramedic certification within 3 months.  Qualified candidates should have provider certifications in ACLS, PALS, ITLS or PHTLS, BLS, and NRP.  Instructor certifications in any of these courses is preferred.   A state EMS Instructor certification must be obtained within 3 months of accepting the position.
