NEW UPDATE: CDC's KEY MESSAGES AND RESPONSE TO EBOLA OUTBREAK

In light of the recent domestic case of confirmed Ebola, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) and the CDC, encourage the entire emergency care community to take steps to ensure that they are able to protect, detect, and respond.

Suspension Syndrome

This video describes Suspension Syndrome, a "Rescue Death" that occurs with patients who are trapped immobile in an upright position. Patients may appear to be uninjured at the time of rescue but still at high risk of sudden death if normal rescue actions are taken.
